* Please allow ample time on Saturday for parking and getting your wristband before going down to the beach to check-in and to sign your waiver. The table to get your wristband will be right before you get to the beach by the giant horseshoes. If you live locally come down to the corner of Pierpont and Seaward on Thursday or Friday (July 12th, 13th) we will have a booth set up and you can get your wristbands there for the weekend. Please remember friends and family must have a ticket to go on the beach - they may be purchased at the ticket booth.
* Surfers must check-in on the beach at least 15 minutes prior to their heat. If you are not checked in on time your spot will be filled with the next alternate surfer of your division. No refunds for late check-ins or missing your heat.
*1ST and 2ND round heats are 15 minutes (Pro heat is 20). Finals are 20 minutes (Pro heat is 30)
*Contestants in all divisions except Big Hoss (longboard) will draw to see what "bull" (board) they will ride out of our corral. These boards are 70's, 80's era influenced boards - the draw of the board is what gives Surf Rodeo the rodeo twist.
*If you are participating in the Big Hoss Longboard division you will ride your own board. Your board must be 9' 0" or longer. It may have any fin set up. If you are under 5' 6" then you must ride a board that is at least 3 feet above your height.
*All finalists will compete in both surfing and the obstacle course race. Points will be given for both surfing and the obstacle course race - the combined overall points will decide the winners.
* Sundays heat times will be posted on the big leaderboard on the beach within a 1/2 hour of the last heat of the day (this should be about between 2-3PM) Surfers are responsible for checking the leader board and being on time to their heats on Sunday. No refunds will be given for missed heats.
Most of all Surf Rodeo is about fun and especially bringing the fun and joy back to surf contests. So bust out those chaps and get ready for a good old time!
